on your phone, you should be able to go to the Google app, then at the top left, look for the menu settings and tap Menu Settings Voice “Ok Google” detection. after you do that, you should be able to choose when you want your phone to listen, by just saying “Ok Google.” that should do it. there should also be a little icon on the search bar that looks like a microphone that you can tap then say “ok google”.
